This course further develops the understanding of the disease process begun in Pathophysiology 1 and 2. The approach is continued with an examination of respiratory, renal, neurological diseases and reproductive systems. The course concludes with a multisystem examination of the effects of stress on the psychoneuroimmunological responses of the body. The relationship between massage therapy and the disease process is reinforced.

The student will reliably demonstrate the ability to:
1. Describe the way in which selected respiratory alterations are manifested. 2. Describe the pathophysiological processes, which result in neurological diseases, including mood and anxiety disorders, head and spinal cord injuries and explain the origins of the usual manifestations. 3. Describe the pathophysiological processes, which result in reproductive and renal disorders and explain the origins of the usual manifestations. 4. Explain the way in which the selected disease processes may be impacted by massage therapy.
